CACAO, WHO?
Mez Un-Chocolate is completely free of cocoa and its problems: deforestation, exploitative labor practices, and a huge carbon footprint. It’s also not beholden to the current supply and pricing crisis affecting cacao.
MESQUITE: REGENERATIVE WONDER
Mez is made using the pod of the mesquite tree—a global desert native that uses nearly no water. Able to thrive in the harshest conditions and soils, mesquite rehabilitates land by fixing nitrogen and carbon—essentially fertilizing it and allowing it to support other crops in the future.
A SMARTER SWEET TREAT
Mesquite pods are chocolatey and sweet, with 90% less bitterness than cacao. We use this to craft our Mez Un-Chocolate with less sugar and more fiber and protein than cacao-based chocolates. Mez is naturally caffeine-free and packed with similar antioxidants as cacao.
