Tastes like an artisanal dark chocolate! Love that it is diary free, the tummy is happy!
I love hearing the story (support chicago local!!) and that mesquite pods are an abundant, environmentally light ingredient. I hope to see more of their ingredients grown in the US <3

I love all the flavors and the smoother, softer texture of Mez. I appreciate that they’re dairy free and have better ingredients for you, so there’s no guilt involved (beyond that it’s hard not to eat an entire bar in one sitting). The owner is lovely, and I’ve enjoyed hearing their origin story and watching them grow here in Chicago especially. Please support these wonderful “unchocolate” bars!

I think it’s important to expect them to not taste exactly like chocolate. I’m sure when some people first tried chocolate they didn’t love it off rip. That’s how it was when I tried Mez. But then I kept eating it then tried the peanut butter flavor too and it was so yummy. It’s like if you replace the bitter taste of coffee with aromatic almost woodsy Smokey flavor that is subtle. Also the peanut butter flavor has 12g of protein which I love as a gym girlie. I will take these bars over regular chocolate bars any day as I feel they are much better taste and nutrition wise. Glad I randomly bought on a whim when I got an Instagram add for these bars. Definitely worth a try.
