I love all the flavors and the smoother, softer texture of Mez. I appreciate that they’re dairy free and have better ingredients for you, so there’s no guilt involved (beyond that it’s hard not to eat an entire bar in one sitting). The owner is lovely, and I’ve enjoyed hearing their origin story and watching them grow here in Chicago especially. Please support these wonderful “unchocolate” bars!

I think it’s important to expect them to not taste exactly like chocolate. I’m sure when some people first tried chocolate they didn’t love it off rip. That’s how it was when I tried Mez. But then I kept eating it then tried the peanut butter flavor too and it was so yummy. It’s like if you replace the bitter taste of coffee with aromatic almost woodsy Smokey flavor that is subtle. Also the peanut butter flavor has 12g of protein which I love as a gym girlie. I will take these bars over regular chocolate bars any day as I feel they are much better taste and nutrition wise. Glad I randomly bought on a whim when I got an Instagram add for these bars. Definitely worth a try.

Really impressed with this bar. I grew up on carob and dark chocolate. A few years ago I was introduced to fine and raw's mesquite chocolate bar..and realized that mesquite is truly underrated. When I saw the Mez bars, I had to check them out - definitely everything I was expecting and more. Great texture, flavor, packaging! If you're already into dark chocolate this is a great alternative. Highly recommended!
